Join the Instructional Technology Council (ITC) and Pikes Peak State College’s (PPSC) Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for an AI summit that is immersive and hands on. You will leave this summit with the ability to use AI tools in course design, open education resources, and assessment. In this practical summit, learn how to transform any AI tool into your teaching assistant. Whether you are developing a new OER, building an online course, assessing student learning, or creating activities, you will learn and apply practical prompting strategies in AI tools. The goal of the summit is to leave you with the skills and foundation to continue using AI to enhance your teaching. Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) has proudly been an ITC member since 2013. Since the fall of 2013, PPSC’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) has hosted numerous training sessions and panel discussions aimed at equipping faculty and instructors with the skills necessary to effectively utilize AI tools in their work. CETL’s interactive sessions focus on building confidence and proficiency in prompt engineering, as well as selecting the appropriate AI tools for various disciplines. CETL remains dedicated to providing the essential training needed to foster AI literacy and empower our educators. CETL’s director, Katie Wheeler, hosted AI Playday in spring of 2024. The highly rated session led to the development of a full ITC backed AI Summit this year.
